Jesus stated that the requirements of the First Great Commandment (not the first Commandment in the Decalogue) was to be fulfilled if we are to 'love the Lord our God with all our heart, all our soul, all our mind, and all our strength.

Why does Jesus use the term 'all' separately in connection to each of these (heart, soul, mind, strength)?

Are these 4 (heart, soul, mind, strength) an absolute list or not? If not, why not?

Mind, Brain & Language

Is the mind equal to the brain? If they are not the same thing, how do they relate?

When humans communicate both verbally and non-verbally, are we encoding our mind or brain? When someone listens to our words or observes our behaviour are they decoding our mind and/or brain? Or is it only a part of our brain or mind that is encoding and decoding itself in communication?
